Vatersay School is a converted school in a spectacular south facing ocean front location overlooking Vatersay Bay and its beautiful beach. This spacious three-bedroom home is furnished and equipped to a very high standard and is available for self-catering by arrangement with the family. Shopping is a five-mile drive across the causeway to Castlebay on the Isle of Barra. Great walks, bird and seal watching, shell collecting and, yes, sunning on the beach, just outside the front door. Vatersay School opened in 2001, and that year became the first 5* property in the Outer Hebrides. We are committed to maintaining our 5* standard, however we have chosen not to continue to register with Visit Scotland (Scottish Tourist Board).
